The David Koresh Transcripts:

Precis of The Shower Head Tape

http://home.maine.rr.com/waco/shower.html
Recorded in Wisconsin USA on 24th August 1987.
A long recording of a Bible study (my print out reaches nearly 40 pages) which has a considerable interaction with the class. Members of the class ask Koresh questions, ask him to repeat parts which they don't find clear, go back and explain, clarify etc, quite different to the Jonah Bible study of 1989 in which the class simply answers im unison questions Koresh asks. The transcribers note says this is one of eight tapes from a marathon Bible study session. The transcription begins mid-sentence.
"America sends millions of dollars yearly to Israel in the name of religion to fund the Jews; because they think that fleshy Jews are gonna go back and inherit the land... The Jews of the flesh are no better than a gentile. Being in the flesh is not the seed of Abraham. Following the prophecies and believing the spirit of truth, that's the true Israel. Not the fleshy Jews who won't accept Christ."
Koresh is saying that a lot of Christians think the state of Israel and the Jews are still part of God's plan of redemption. He states this isn't so, but America will get involved with Israel and this involvement is prophecised in the Bible, it is part of the last day events.
"America is going to... overtake countries in Palestine... they're gonna finally take Jerusalem of which time this message begins. Only for those who know it ahead of time. To stand in the day of trouble - the day of trouble eliminates the righteous from the wicked. But God is not gonna judge the world at this time... You must be a part of the 144,000 who are with him at this time or otherwise you're lost. The Adventist church is a rejected church. They are not God's people. They have not been for years. You see? That's why they have no commission in the world. They haven't ever preached the Sabbath as it is to be preached. They don't keep it as it as it is to be kept."
This Bible study is going to take us through the books of Nahum, Micah, Habakkuk and Isaiah. Before Koresh begins the study of Naham however he makes a statement about God having seed and having children. His son Cyrus is around during the study and Koresh makes references to him. Here is what Koresh says:
"In Isaiah 53 we learn that God has seed. Doesn't he? We learn that it relates to those who are bearing the vessels of the Lord. But he's gonna see his seed. And the woman who did not bear it is gonna still have children because her Lord is gonna marry her. Her maker. Ok? What do the Psalms say about this? Naham seeing the same vision, Nahum is speaking of the nation of Assyria - modern Assyria."
With this introduction the study of Nahum begins.
The study starts right a the beginning of Nahum, Nahum 1:2, God being furious with the king of the North. As we read through Naham chapter 1, we discover that God is sending someone to rescue God's people from the king of the North - Cyrus. As Koresh reads through Nahum chapter 1 and 2 he identifies the king of the North with America:
"For the LORD hath turned away the excellency of Jacob Israel: for the emptiers have emptied them out, and married their vine branches" (Nahum 2:2)
Koresh comments: "you see? So in other words, the American troops come in and totally devastate Jerusalem and take all their food", he later adds "with inspriation you understand that God entitles America - Nineveh"
In Nahum 2:5-8 Koresh reads about the king of the North taking Huzzab away captive. One of the class does not understand about Huzzab, Koresh says "Huzzab is feminine ok? I'll explain it by using the book of Micah" and then goes in great detail through Micah 7. At Micah 7:12-13 he returns to the explanation of Huzzab:
"what happens is this king of the North comes back in wearing mighty chains.. but she - that's Assyria, that wicked women, Nineveh, Huzzab. That's the she - the woman is gonna be led away captive. Now you get the picture? She, the woman, Huzzab, represents the harlot - Assyria."
Near the end of the Micah study (which ends at Micah 7:20), Koresh explains that God "will stop you from sinning. He say's so. That's how people become righteous in the last days. They believe God can do it for 'em".
The study now turns to Habakkuk, beginning at Habakkuk 1:1-2. Koresh comments on verse 3 "who causes violence? The king of the North does". So the prophecies are all referring to America in Israel. Koresh makes this plain commenting on Habakkuk 1:11:
"he (America) goes there because of the Middle East crisis. And he knocks out Egypt first of all because the Jews make war with them. The Jews are fixing to buck American troops. And in so doing America is going to have to take the offensive because America cannot... afford to loose Palestine an allied nation of Israel."
A little later he adds:
"The Arabs seem to be getting more sophisticated... they're getting more technology and more advancement and there's rumours that American troops along with Russian troops are training the Arabs. America will want to make a dollar at the risk of anybody's throat. You see? America does it for money. Speaking as a dragon in other words."
Koresh interrupts the commentary to characterise American churches as prostitutes:
"Look what you do when you go to your Church. When you pay your tithes at Church what are you paying for? You're paying a prostitute. You're coming there for two hours out of the week, for a beautiful little woman there with stained glass windows and nice brick borders. You see? Nice carpet. You know. She's all painted up real nice and neat and looking good. Good air conditioning. A little bit of sweet song "Just as I am without one plea..." you know... Let's all bow for prayer. You know? Oh, the same routine. You get the same treatment for the same tithe each week. Huh? That's what they do with prostitutes. You come to get your weekly thrill. God likens her to a harlot. But where's the religion that saves the body? Where's the real knowledge of truth? What makes you love her more and more? You don't. You hate her after a while. She's just a slut. She's a building that needs a facelift all the time. Paint her up, you know? Right? The church is what they use. The TV, the media, the sorcery, the witchcraft. And straight truth from the Bible they know nothing about. You see?"
Going back to the study, Koresh summarises the King of the North being America:
"The King of the North represents that religio-political-lamb riding the beast that speaks as a dragon. The beast and its image is an image of a nation professing to follow God and yet uses military war weapons and tactics; living by the sword to get what they want. Why does Jerry Falwell say that we need to build up our war armaments for when Russia's not even a God-like nation?"
"Do you really think America will go into that form? Be the offensive nation? To take and heap up other nations? You'd better believe it." But as America (the King of the North) celebrates victory he is taken by surprise. "Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite thee" (Habukkak 2:7a). Koresh comments "Mark this verse. I love this verse... how would you like to be drunken there, having a good time, talking to your buddies. And all of a sudden these guys start grawling up out of the ground... there's two hundred million of them... who are the great and the strong? The two hundred million that have raised up out of the mountains of Israel. They're all the dead prophets. They're the ones who died as martyrs for the truths sake."
Commenting on Habukkuk 2:15 Koresh notes that the King of the North likes to look on the nakedness of his own men, he remarks "man he is a faggot. Look at this guy", Habukkuk 2:16 "drink thou also, and let thy foreskin be uncovered", Koresh adds "we're learning more about this King of the North than anyone knows... I'll show you all the Psalms. I'll show you every last Psalm in the Bible that shows you that all the Psalms are talking about this King of the North. Man he's a queer! He's the one who keeps Sunday anyway. He's the one who causes aids in the world anyhow. And he's religious."
Having completed the study of Habukkuk, Koresh now makes a number of general remarks before starting the study of Isaiah.
"Now you know why the foolish virgins can't get this extra oil soon enough? You see the extra oil is additional light in regards to prophecy. It develops character. Especially when God says I'll remove your sins. So if you don't know what the prophecy is about what God is gonna do to save your soul, you're not gonna have no good character. To receive it in the spirit of truth is to receive the plan of salvation as it is in Christ."
"God has a mighty army that stands in defense of what you're hearing right now... these guys, literally, we're gonna tear em up. All the unbelievers. All those who had a chance to know the truth... Well if you're faithful and you receive the knowledge of the truth in your heart, and you bring forth fruit with it, you'll be the one killing... Yeah. We can't be hurt at that time."
"The prayer of Habukkuk, the prophet of Shigionoth. Isn't this incredible? ... God has a message and the church will not listen to it. So God brings on the scene this prophet, Shigionoth. It means 'turbulent lyrics'. It's music. It's a song. All the prophets talk about... Bring out the guitars."
"In the parable of Luke, God says to the first three calls; go to the first, second and third angel, he says none of these men will taste of my supper. Go to the highways and byways. And so the messenger first goes to the church and gets the carnal people out. Most of them are wicked in the first place. The ones not highways and hedges. You know? They never knew this was in the Bible... Here comes the wedding invitations to supper. And there was still not enough. So then he goes out and tells anybody who will come in. I don't care how bad they are. God says go and impel them - force them to come God says. that my house may be full. And so God's gonna finish the work without these crazy guys."
"I can enter into God's rest. So the works were finished from the foundation of the world. You see? The work of God is his word. Jesus said this is the work of God that ye believe on him whom God has sent. That's what John says."
Koresh now starts with Isaiah 44:22. "I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and as a cloud thy sins; return unto me; for I have redeemed thee." Koresh points out that God isn't saying if you return to me then I will redeem you, but that he has already forgiven your sins, and for that reason why don't you return to him? The good news is that your sins are already forgiven, but if you don't listen to the messenger then you won't know this. Koresh says "if you don't listen to the angel you won't know what the seal is."
Koresh explains what Christ's message was that they are forgiven, "scott free", and only because God says so. But they wouldn't listen to the word made flesh. Koresh brings out the implications of this for what God's word means:
"Only God's word is perfect. Now you get the picture? So whatever God's word says that must be perfect. And it must be our only salvation. The word that condemns us is the same one that turns around and says well I've forgiven you anyway. So let's understand this truth. Let's understand this mystery... this message is unbelievable. That's why its such a test."
Koresh comes to Isaiah 44:26-27 where God is going to dry up the rivers, so, he says, America will be able to walk to Israel. We also come to references to Cyrus:
"That saith of Cyrus, He is my Shepherd" (Is 44:27)
Also that Cyrus is called "annointed" (Is 45:1) which means Messiah. Koresh explains that Cyrus is the Persian word for sun or Shepherd "cause they considered a son as being the shepherd of his day", this is linked to Malachi 4:2 "the Sun of righteousness will arise with healing in his wings". So God has called Cyrus. Koresh then notes another interesting verse on Cyrus, Isaiah 45:4b "I have surnamed thee", so it is God who has called him Cyrus.
Koresh also notes that Is 45:8 says "drop down ye heavens from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness", commenting "it's called the latter rain", he says "this calling of Cyrus to his work by God is the message of righteousness". God is calling a man Cyrus who will be the liberator of God's people.
It is at this point that Koresh identifies himself with Cyrus, making a number of remarkable statements. Having explained that God has a message for Cyrus to give, he beings to speak about how God has been talking to him:
"Do you think it's easy for a man to accept a message from God whom he has never know? ... Especially when God talks to him audibly huh? would that be easy for you to go into your room one night, and pull your clothes off for a shower, and all of a sudden a voice comes out of the faucet and starts talking to you? Huh?... What if you turned on the water in the shower and all of a sudden it said, Drop down ye waters from above, let the faucets pour out righteousness. I the Lord have created it huh?.. and the songs of blessing - showers of blessing starts being heard in your room or in the bathroom, right?.. This Cyrus has an experience which none - very few and far in between have had."
Koresh continues to explain that God has called him, he didn't want to be called, but God wouldn't accept a no. Koresh then makes some remarks about the spirit being female (the Spirit of God being female), and God's word making him born of the spirit.
"If you're born the first time out of a woman's womb and you're supposed to be re-born again then the earthly carnal is just a symbol of something heavenly."
Koresh continues to make this point about being born of God:
"The truth is in Cyrus. I mean Cyrus is born of the Spirit. And being born of the Spirit he has the same blood as his Father. Meaning that what his Father has been he also progenerates that same nature does he not? The Father being truthful, Cyrus being born again cannot be anything but truthful. It being God's word Cyrus can only be the same Spirit of his Father point back to the what? The word."
Koresh now ties back in with Revelation:
"No wonder the angel from the east has the seal of the living God. In Revelation 14 what do the 144,000 have on their foreheads?... The Father's name. Christ says he has a new name and nobody knows it but himself. But his name's the word of God."
Koresh continues to explain the power of God's word:
"God who made all things by his word, that's my God. Cyrus is the son of the word. Cyrus is the son of Christ. The Bible says so and the Bible is the word. And the Bible was made flesh two thousand years ago and they heard him... how do you escape the beast and his image? ... Believe in his word... Cyrus is gonna do something because God says so."
Koresh appears to be continuing with Is 45 (the last verse quoted is 20) and prophecies, but here the tape ends.
